TMDC was held for the seventh time in December, 2004. Final results were released on January 16, 2005. This is one of the only demo competitions where remote entry is allowed, making it an obvious possibility for North American sceners to participate in. In fact, the latest installment of TMDC garnered 11 entries, two of which were submitted by North American groups.

With his third try in three years, s_tec comes through with a first place victory, again performing the code and design but this time working as part of the new group, Trailer Park Demos (see their demo from Pilgrimage 2004, Wac a Demo). Their winning entry, Rivulet, contains a number of oldskool effects rendered in 80x50 ascii text mode, with music by thom. It pleased the judges panel enough to very narrowly edge out the second place entry...

Bars, a 4k demo by Quantum Sufficient didn't fare as well, placing last in their second try in the TMDC. Regardless of placement, it's great to see any release and another sign of life from a North American scener...
