The 2004 Chicago Expo (September 4, 2004) continued a long annual string of c64 retro hardware enthusiast meetings. Like preceeding events, sceners attending the Expo also gathered afterwards for the traditional ad hoc scener after party. Notable scene attendees this year included Steve Judd, Macbeth/PSW, Burning Horizon/FTA, Diskmaster/FTA, Siz/DLoC, Schema/AIC, dW/Style, Elwix/Style, Wrong Way/Style, and Demonger. Mr Nike/Eagle Soft Inc dropped by and of course, past attendees and premier hardware hackers Jeri Ellsworth and Jim Brain were in attendance as well.

There were no official releases made, although Schema/AIC showed off his demo-on-a-cartridge and operating semi-covertly, the C64DTV development team worked on their "mystery project" while interested freaks attempted to touch, photograph, and generally ogle the prototype joystick.
